Phobia Game Studio and our friends at Devolver Digital are thrilled to announce that our “reverse horror” experience Carrion will release on Xbox One when it launches next year! Our little team has been working hard in Poland to create something that we believe is quite unique and are excited to partner with Microsoft and the ID@Xbox team to have Carrion slither onto Xbox One.

Carrion

In Carrion you’ll assume the role of an amorphous creature of unknown origin. Players will stalk and consume those that have imprisoned it to spread fear and panic throughout the facility. It will grow and evolve as you tear down the facility and acquire additional devastating abilities on the path to retribution that include a web-like ranged attack, the ability to bend light to become temporarily invisible, and even possess humans for maximum terror.

Carrion

You’ll progress through an overworld that connects different parts of the facility that become accessible through the evolution of the creature’s abilities and successful completion of goals. It’s got a little metroidvania vibe to it all but with minimal backtracking, though even then it’s always fun to instill some fear with those still wandering the corridors.

Carrion

Carrion will be playable at X019 this weekend in London and you can keep up with development and news by following @kroskiewicz on Twitter!
