Although big studios tend to boast about their so-called "AAA" projects the most, a number of them have a stable of impressive, smaller-scale developers under their wing that bring the indie heat. Microsoft signed Moon Studios for Ori and the Blind Forest, Nintendo still allows studios to create smaller flights of fancy like BoxBoy, and Sony has PixelOpus, among others.
We could really use more of that light touch in an era full of games-as-a-service monoliths: Concrete Genie included.
Publisher Bossa Games has revealed that exploratory thriller The Bradwell Conspiracy will launch next week on PC and consoles. The indie release, developed by A Simple Plan, is the story of two people trapped in a collapsing museum in the wake of a sudden explosion.
Players will step into the shoes of an unnamed guest, visiting The Bradwell Stonehenge Museum's Solstice 2026 Gala. Awakening in the aftermath of the explosion, the protagonist will attempt to find their way out of the ruined building, stumbling upon a deep and complex subterranean network.
Happy weekend, folks! It's Saturday, and I hope that this week has found you well. I don;t know what it's like in your neck of the woods, but temperatures have taken a nose-dive here in the UK. One moment I was dancing around the house naked, windows open, not a care in the world, the next thing you know there's condensation on the walls, ice in the street and the police knocking at the door (I should close the curtains next time...)
Still, the onset of fall brings with it a rash of new releases, as publishers start to roll out their big holiday games and annual series' entries. Myself, my time this week has been spent playing Lab Zero's action-RPG Indivisible, which I have been waiting on for some years. Unfortunately, I can't say a single word about it just yet, good or bad, but watch for my review at the start of the week.
DALLAS — Stars defenceman Roman Polak has a small fracture in his sternum and will be re-evaluated next week.
Dallas didn’t offer a timetable in the update on Polak on Friday. In the second period of Thursday’s season-opening loss to Boston at home, Polak went into the boards when he tried to check Chris Wagner about midway through the second period.
After hitting the boards with his left shoulder and head, the 33-year-old Polak was face-down on the ice for several minutes before being rolled off on a stretcher. He was evaluated at a hospital.

Polak’s injury was the third of the game for the Stars. Forward Blake Comeau will be out several weeks with a lower-body injury after falling awkwardly when he was hit in the face by a puck. Forward...
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep's first raid is set to arrive and kick off Year 3 today, and much like many other content drops, it's scheduled for a 1PM ET launch on October 5: right at reset.
The raid itself is called the "Garden of Salvation," and will center around the vex again (the Vex love starting up expansions!) in the Black Garden, a deeply story-rooted locale from the original game. Although Shadowkeep's story mostly deals with the hive faction on the moon, the narrative is building up to this showdown and beyond.
So what power level are you expected to hit before the raid arrives? Well, if it's anything like past raids 900 should get your foot in the door, with the final encounter clocking in at a suggested power level of 950. You can...
Given how much total bank Rockstar makes with Grand Theft Auto Online to this day on PC, they'd be stupid to not port Red Dead Redemption 2 to the platform eventually. Well, they're not stupid, as it's coming soon. Very soon! Rockstar has officially unveiled the release date for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, and it's November 5.
This comes after droves of rumors, leaks, and ratings board classifications for the port, and it looks like Rockstar wanted to make sure everything was taken care of under the hood before the port actually arrived. So what do you get besides open access to mods galore? Rockstar explains it best: "a range of graphical and technical enhancements for increased immersion along with new Bounty Hunting Missions, Gang Hideouts, Weapons and more."
