TAMPA, Fla. — Victor Hedman scored a power-play goal with 56.8 seconds remaining to give the Tampa Bay Lightning a 3-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night.

The defenceman scored from just inside the blue line off Steven Stamkos’ pass from the left circle.
Alex Killorn and Cedric Paquette also scored, and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 37 saves, including a pair of in-close chances in the final seconds of regulation. One of them, taken by Kris Letang, required a lengthy video review before it was confirmed that the puck did indeed go in.
Brandon Tanev and Jake Guentzel scored and Tristan Jarry stopped 45 shots for the Penguins. Sidney Crosby picked up an assist and moved past Norm Ullman into sole possession of 40th place on the NHL career points list with 1,230...
The DMC DeLorean is one of the most iconic cars ever made. Since its creation, there really hasn’t been anything else like it. Those immediately recognizable rear lights, the gull-wing doors, the retro yet futuristic look, the sleek windshield leading to an edgy front end…
It’s a sharp, timeless bullet of a car.
Taking this iconic car with such a famous design and turning it into one that fit into the chaotic and futuristic Grip: Combat Racing world was a bit of a challenge. We had to give it huge wheels without looking stupid. We had to bolster it with armor and bring it into the 27th century. We had to design a completely new other side that not only looked cool and unique, but fit well with the “top” side.
Saturday’s edition of the “Goalie News” includes an adorable moment in Montreal, some anger and frustration in Dallas, the first win in Chicago and a rare accomplishment up in Edmonton.
Dubnyk Makes a New Friend in Montreal
The Minnesota Wild have been a disaster to start the 2019-20 season. They are dead last in the National Hockey League with just two points after a 1-6-0 start. The normally dependable Devan Dubnyk has struggled early on, which has been a major factor in the lack of results.
Dubnyk has lost all five of his starts so far and has posted a 4.44 goals-against average (GAA) and .867 save percentage (SV%). These numbers are far below his career averages of a 2.56 GAA and .916 SV%. The 33-year-old netminder got the night off Thursday when the Wild were at the Bell Centre...
I wanted to start this post by saying thank you to everyone for your amazing support as we bring these venerable games to new platforms. The release of these titles represents the culmination of, in some cases, over 20 years of work building and improving these games. My team and I are honored to have the opportunity to bring these classics forward to a new generation of players.
When Baldur’s Gate was released 20 years ago from BioWare, it was a hugely ambitious game – especially for the young studio that BioWare was back in the late ’90s, when no games studio had really successfully created a game of that scope before. From the perspective of a seasoned game designer and producer, porting AD&D to a video game sounds like madness, with its scores of edge-case spell effects, free-form rules, coupled with strict combat mechanics. But a handful of...
Publisher: NIS America Developer: Nihon Falcom Release: October 22, 2019 Reviewed on: PlayStation 4
The Trails of Cold Steel franchise continues to impress me. Whether it’s in the depth added to its fantastic turn-based battle system or the intriguing revelations tucked into its sprawling storyline, Nihon Falcom keeps taking the series in exciting directions. The way the developer has built up a massive world and its political tensions is fascinating, referencing events that happened way back in the Trails in the Sky arc. Seeing how all this history and lore unfolds has been an exciting part of the journey. Fans are constantly treated to callbacks and character reunions that feel like rewards for the long investment. While the narrative is certainly a big draw, Trails of Cold Steel III is also a solid RPG through and through...
This Wednesday, there were plans for a joyous celebration in the Big Apple. Fans would meet some of the people who voice the characters they love, maybe they'd throw back some cleverly-themed mocktails. Overwatch is launching on Switch, and that's an event worth getting dressed to the nines for (your best hoodie and well-worn Converse).
Now, those fans will be all dressed up with nowhere to go. Blizzard has canceled the Overwatch Switch launch party at Nintendo in New York City:
Welcome to Jets Weekly, where you can catch up on the past week of Winnipeg Jets hockey. From hot topics to news and notes, this is where you can find all things Jets related throughout the 2019-20 season.
The regular season is in full swing and the Jets have had their fair share of ups and downs already. If one thing is for certain, this team will keep us all well entertained throughout the winter months – prepare for a rollercoaster of emotions. This team seems to already have a trend going of playoff contender one game to the bottom of the barrel the next – let’s hope they can work on some consistency.
Volition is busy working on the next mainline Saints Row game, so fixing Saints Row 2 will be an "outside office hours" project, but changes are coming: performance improvements, more stability, integrating Steam networking for co-op and multiplayer, and adding the previously console-only DLC.
Senior community developer Mike Watson called the PC port initiative a "labor of love."
"Being able to now have the means to go in there and fix a lot of the problems with the game is kind of a dream come true," he said. "It's been...
Following on from their joyful May reveal, Arc System Works has released a short gameplay trailer for the next Guilty Gear release, this time around showing of the mad skills of time-hopping British fighter Axl Low.
A stalwart member of the Guilty Gear franchise, Axl leaps through time on a mission to return to his own timeline, located somewhere within the 20th Century. Armed with his trusty chained scythe, Axl has no problem with throwing down with all comers as he skips around the clock. An excellent ranged fighter, Axl frustrates opponents with long-distance pokes, anti-air attacks, and projectile-destroying defences. And looks damn slick while doing so.
The trailer also notes that New Guilty Gear's playable debut, set to take place at the ArcRevo World Tour Final 2019 in California on the weekend on November 16, will feature a six character...
It is a rare commodity for a player to have size, skill and intelligence to put it all together on a nightly basis. This particular combination is defined as a power forward.
Through the NHL’s history, many have excelled in this role. Cam Neely was a player that scared opponent’s going into the corner just as much as he did getting the puck in the slot. Neely helped the Boston Bruins maintain their big and bad status.
Mark Messier was not only one of the league’s greatest leaders, but he was also one of the most feared. His skillset lent itself to his undeniable toughness. Opposing players did not want to look him in the eye and if they did, their eyes would be black from one of his patented elbows.
These legends, along with Eric Lindros, Brendan Shanahan, and Keith Tkachuk among others, paved the way for big, skilled players to dominate the league.
From here, Jarome Iginla and Shane Doan would take the reins as a couple of the best NHL power forwards for a solid decade. We saw...
